Students will gain an up-to-date view of new trends in ultrasound applications, both in the medical and industrial fields. These applications will include the physical principles of ultrasound propagation and the interaction between ultrasound and various tissues, including biological ones. Some keynote presentations will cover emerging fields in biomedical ultrasound imaging and therapy, as well selected industrial applications. The students will learn tools to study and design ultrasonic systems: numerical simulations, theoretical approximations and even practical demonstrations!
